Section 26(3) in Mahatma Gandhi University Act 1985
(3). Each Faculty shall consist of-(a). the Chairman of the Boards of Studies comprised in the faculty;(b)two members from each Board of Studies nominated by the Syndicate, who are teachers of the University and of the colleges or institutions by rotation(c)not less than five and not more than ten members nominated by the Syndicate from among teachers, by rotation;(d). two members, to be nominated by the Syndicate who are from outside the University on the basis of their expert knowledge.
