Section 49(1) in The Gujarat Technological University Act, 2007
(1)It shall be the duty of the first Vice-Chancellor,-(a)to give affiliation to the college or institution, if any, as far as possible consistently with the provisions of section 26;(b)to make arrangements for constituting the Academic Council, the Finance Committee and other authorities of the University; and(c)to frame first regulations and submit it to the respective authority for confirmation when it commences to exercise its functions.
