1. At the outset, Dr. Amit George, counsel for the Petitioner, submits that at this stage, his limited prayer is to direct the Respondent-University viz. Jamia Millia Islamia [hereinafter "Respondent University"] to consider the representation of the Petitioner against: (i) impugned order dated 15th December, 2020 issued by the Registrar of Respondent University, and (ii) impugned order dated 17th December, 2020 issued by the Dean, Faculty of Education of Respondent University. He further submits that Petitioner would like to file a comprehensive representation where he Signature Not Verified Digitally Signed By:SAPNA SETHI Signing Date:30.07.2022 12:02:56 would like to bring to the notice of the Executive Council of Respondent University, the recommendations of the Departmental Research Committee ('DRC') and Research Advisory Committee ('RAC').
2. Mr. Pritish Sabharwal, counsel for the Respondent University, without prejudice to his rights and contentions, is agreeable to the fore-going suggestion.
3. In view of the stand taken by Mr. Sabharwal, the present petition is disposed of, with a direction that if Petitioner submits his representation within a period of two weeks from today, the same be placed before the Executive Council of Respondent University, who shall take a decision thereon, in accordance with law.
4. In the event, the decision is adverse to Petitioner's interest, he shall be at liberty to seek appropriate remedies, in accordance with law.
5. With the above directions, the present petition is disposed of along with pending applications.
6. Needless to say, the Court has not examined the merits of the case and all rights and contentions of the parties are left open.
