Section 107(1) in The Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887
(1)If it is necessary to make a survery by any other agency than that of Revenue-officers or village-officers, the [State Government] [Substituted for the words 'Provincial Government' by the Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.] may publish a notification stating -(a)the local area to be surveyed and the nature of survey ;(b)the names or official designation of the officers by whom the survey is to be made ; and(c)the kind of survey-marks to be erected by those officers.
