Section 7(1) in National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University Act, 1998

(1)The Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh shall be the Chancellor of the University and in his absence, the acting Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh shall discharge the functions of the Chancellor.
