Section 9(c) in Patna High Court Establishment (Appointment) Rules, 1997
(c)In case of promotion the mode as shown in the Schedule shall be followed Selection for Class I, Class II and other Gazetted posts may be made by the Chief Justice on his own or on the recommendation of any Selection Committee as may be constituted by the Chief Justice.
