Section 5(b) in Punjab School Education Board (Employees' Pension, Provident Fund and Gratuity) Regulations, 1991
(b)'Active Service' for the purpose of these regulations includes, besides time spent on duty all kinds of leave as given in chapters of the Punjab Civil Services Rules, Volume-I, Part-I, except extraordinary leave taken otherwise than on medical certificate.
