37. [ Numbering of applications on the grant of patent [ Substituted by S.O. 1418(E), dated 28.12.2004, for Rule 37 (w.e.f. 1.1.2005).]
.-On the grant of a patent, the application shall be accorded a number (called serial number) in the series of numbers accorded to patents under the ][Indian Patents and Designs Act, 1911 (2 of 1911)] [ Now see the Designs Act, 2000 (16 of 2000).][which shall be the number of the patent so granted.] [ Substituted by S.O. 1418(E), dated 28.12.2004, for Rule 37 (w.e.f. 1.1.2005).]
