Section 12(1) in The Gujarat Technological University Act, 2007
(1)The Vice-Chancellor shall be the principal executive and academic officer of the University and shall, in the absence of the Chancellor, preside at any convocation of the University and shall preside at the meeting of the Academic Council and the Finance Committee.
