Section 16(2) in The Geographical Indications Of Goods (Registration And Protection) Rules, 2002
(2)Subject to the provisions of rules 17, 18 and 20, any written communication addressed to an applicant or his agent, or an authorised user or his agent or in the case of association of persons, the person authorised to act in the matter in connection with the registration of a geographical indication or their agent, at the address of this principal place of business in India given by him in the application shall be deemed to be properly addressed.
