Section 3 in The Maharashtra State Council of Examinations Act, 1998
3. Establishment of State and Regional Councils.
(1)The Government shall by notification in the Official Gazette, establish for the purposes of this Act for the whole State, a Council to be called the Maharashtra State Council of Examinations.(2)the State Government may, likewise, by notification in the Official Gazette, establish a Regional Council, for any Region or for all the Regions under such name as may be specified in the notification.
