We are really surprised to note that despite Shimla having one of the oldest Municipal Corporations (User Agencies) in the Country does not have adequate dumping sites. We are informed that except for one given site, there are no other such dumping sites. This indeed is a very sorry state of affairs and therefore, this issue needs to be seriously redressed.
Accordingly, we proceed to appoint a Multi Member Committee, consisting of ADM Shimla, SDM (Urban and Rural) Shimla, Additional Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Shimla, DFO (Urban and Rural) Shimla, Executive Engineer, H.P. PWD Shimla and SDO, Municipal Corporation, Shimla to identify, sites for dumping of excavated material and also debris of such construction and submit a report to this Court as expeditiously as possible and in any event within a fortnight from today.
Henceforth, registry is directed to reflect the name of Shri Naresh Kumar Gupta, Advocate, in the cause list.
