Section 1 in Meghalaya Private Universities (Regulation of Establishment and Maintenance of Standards) Act, 2012
1. Short title, application and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Meghalaya Private Universities (Regulation of Establishment and Maintenance of Standards) Act, 2012.(2)It shall apply to all private universities established by or incorporated under a State Act and opened in Meghalaya in collaboration with foreign University, formal and non-formal or distance education made by private universities.(3)It shall come into force with effect from the date of notification.
