Section 7(1) in Andhra Pradesh Municipal Corporations Act, 1994
(1)(a)The term of office of elected members shall, save as otherwise expressly provided in this Act, be five years from the date appointed by the Election Authority for the first meeting of the Council and no longer.(b)An ex-officio member specified under clause (ii) or (iii) or (iv) of Section 5 shall hold office so long as he continues to be the Member of the Legislative Assembly of the State or as the case may be, of either House of Parliament and the ex-officio members specified under clauses (v) and (vi) of Section 5 shall be co-terminus with the elected members.
