/609[2ndMarch ,1888]An Act to regulate [the] [ Substituted by A.L.O. 1950, for " Her Majesty's" (w.e.f. 26.1.1950).] Indian Reserve Forces.Whereasit is expedient to provide for the Government, discipline and regulation of [the] [Substituted by A.L.O. 1950, for " Her Majesty's" (w.e.f. 26.1.1950). ] Indian Reserve Forces; It is hereby enacted as follows: -| The Act has two now been extended to the Union Territories of - (1) Dadra and Nagar Haveli by Regulation 6 of 1963 (1-7-1965; (2) Pondicherry by Regulation 7 of 1963 (1-10-1963); (3) Laccadive, Minicoy and Amindivi Islands by Regulation 8 of 1965 (1-10-1967). These Islands are now known as Lakshadeep, see Act 34 of 1973, section 3 (w.e.f. 1-11-1973). The Act extended to and shall be in the State of Arunachal Pradesh (w.e.f. 1-7-1994) vide Act 44 of 1993, S.2 and Sch.Brought into force on 26.5.1888. |
