Section 26(2) in The Maharashtra National Law University Act, 2014
(2)The Selection Committee shall consist of the following members:-(i)the Vice-Chancellor, who shall be the Chairman of the Committee;(ii)the Head of the Department concerned, if any, provided he holds a post not lower than the level of the post for which the selection is to be made;(iii)three experts for selecting Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant Professors nominated by the Vice-Chancellor from amongst a panel of names recommended by the Academic Council and approved by the Executive Council.
