(1)Every Dean of Faculties shall be appointed by the Vice- Chancellor from among the Professors in the Faculty for a period of three years and he shall be eligible for reappointment:Provided that a Dean on attaining the age of fifty-eight years shall cease to hold _office as such:Provided further that if at any time there is no Professor in a Faculty, the Vice-Chancellor shall exercise the powers of the Dean of the Faculty.
