(e)defend any suit or other legal proceeding brought against [a Corporation] [Substituted by Delhi act 12 of 2011, section 2(a) for "the Corporation" (w.e.f. 13-1-2012)] or against the Commissioner or a municipal officer or other municipal employee in respect of anything done or omitted to be done by any one of them in his official capacity;
