(1)The highway authority or any other person affected by the decision under Section 48 or 49 may, within three months of the date of service of notice under those sections, appeal to the Collector or the Chief Revenue Officer of the district and the decision of such officer shall be recorded in writing and notice of such decision given in the prescribed manner to the parties to the appeal. Any modification of the Survey Officer' decision ordered by the appellate authority shall be noted in the record prepared under Section 48 or 49 as the case may be.
