Section 3(1) in U.P Consolidation of Holdings Act, 1953
(1)[ 'Assistant Consolidation Officer' means a person appointed as such by the State Government to exercise the powers and perform the duties of an Assistant Consolidation Officer under this Act or the rules made thereunder] [[Substituted by Act No. 38 of 1958. Prior to substitution, it stood as under :-'(1) 'Assistant Consolidation Officer' means an officer appointed by the State Government under Section 42 to perform the duties of an Assistant Consolidation Officer under this Act.' ]] [and shall include an Assistant Rectangulation Officer] [Added by U.P. Act No. 8 of 1963.];
