1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Jammu and Kashmir Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1997.(2)It extends to the whole of the Jammu and Kashmir State.(3)It shall come into force on such date [as the Government may, by notification in the Government Gazette, appoint.] [Enforced by SRO 403 dated 11.12.1997, w.e.f. 1.1.1998.]
