Section 44(3)(a) in The Khadi And Village Industries Commission Employees (Pension) Regulations, 1984

(a)If an employee of the Commission dies in the first year of qualifying service, a death-cum-retirement gratuity equal to 2 times of his emoluments at the time of his death shall be paid his family in the manner indicated in sub-regulation (1) of regulation 45.
