229. Cancellation of irrecoverable dues.
- The Corporation may by order strike off the books of the Corporation any sum due on account of the [property tax] [Substituted by section 2 of the Calcutta Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Act, 2001 (West Bengal Act VIII of 2001), w.e.f. 23.3.2001, for the words "consolidated rates" .] on lands and buildings or any other tax or on any other account, which may appear to it to be irrecoverable.B.
