Section 2(a) in The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2000
(a)advisory board means a Central or a State advisory board or a district and city level advisory board as the case may be, constituted under section 62;(aa)[ adoption means the process through which the adopted child is permanently separated from his biological parents and become the legitimate child of his adoptive parents with all the rights, privileges and responsibilities that are attached to the relationship;] [Inserted by Act 33 of 2006, Section 4 (w.e.f. 22.8.2006).]
