Heard Sri Atul Kumar Shahi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Avneesh Tripathi, learned counsel for the respondent University.
The petitioner claims to have submitted a representation, to the respondent University, to provide the degree of L.L.B. Three Year Course of the Academic Session 2015-18.
The only prayer, made by Sri Atul Kumar Shahi, learned counsel for the petitioner, is that the representation of the petitioner may be decided and the degree of the petitioner, may be provided within a stipulated period of time.
Sri Avneesh Tripathi, learned counsel for the respondent University, fairly submits that the University is under obligation of law, to decide the representation and provide the degree of all eligible candidates as per law, within a reasonable period of time.
Matter is remitted to the respondent no. 3, Registrar, Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.
A writ of mandamus is issued commanding the respondent no. 3, Registrar, Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut, to decide the representation of the petitioner, for award of L.L.B. degree for the L.L.B. Three Year Course, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, in accordance with law.
It is clarified that this Court has not gone into the veracity of the assertions made in the writ petition nor has the claim of the petitioner been judged on merits. It is for the competent authority to do so in accordance with law after independent application of mind.
The writ petition is disposed of finally.
