When the evidence of a Gazetted Officer of the Mint or the Indian Security Press is required as to the genuineness or spuriousness of a coin or currency note, the Court concerned should ordinarily send the coin or the currency note to the Master of the Mint or the Controller of paper currency as the case may be, under cover of the Court seal or by a messenger whose evidence can afterwards be taken.The experts at the Mint and in the Currency Department are much engage; and it is not always possible for one of them to attend on the date fixed by lire Court. The Court should consider the desirability of issuing a commission for their examination instead of summoning them.] [G.L. 2/23, G.L. 1/43]
