Section 348 in The Maharashtra Municipal Corporations Act, 1949
348. Creation of temporary posts. - (1) The Transport Manager may create temporary posts carrying a monthly salary, exclusive of allowances, not exceeding two hundred rupees for a period of not more than six months and no such posts shall be continued beyond such period without the previous sanction of the Transport Committee.
(2)The Transport Committee may create temporary post carrying a monthly salary, exclusive of allowances, exceeding two hundred rupees for a period of not more than six months. The Committee shall forthwith report to the Corporation the creation of every such post and no such post shall be continued beyond a period of six months without the previous sanction of the Corporation.
