Section 261(1) in Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Corporation Act, 2000
(1)For the purpose of securing the efficient scavenging and cleansing of all streets and premises, the Commissioner, shall provide-(a)for the daily surface cleansing of all streets and the removal of the sweepings therefrom ; and(b)for the removal of the contents of all receptacles and deports and of the accumulation at all places provided or appointed by him under the provisions of this Act for the temporary deposit of rubbish, filth and other polluted and obnoxious matter.
