Section 221(1) in The Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats And Industrial Townships Act, 1965
(1)The Council may set apart suitable places for the purpose of bathing, and may specify the times at which, and the sex of persons by whom, such places may be used, and may also set apart suitable places for washing animals, clothes or vessels or for any other purpose connected with the health, cleanliness or comfort of the inhabitants of the municipal area.
