Section 148(1) in The Maharashtra Co-Operative Societies Act, 1960
(1)No court inferior to that of a [Metropolitan Magistrate or a Judicial Magistrate of the First Class] [These words were substituted for ;the words 'Presidency Magistrate or a Magistrate of the First Class' by Maharashtra 20 of 1986, Section 61(a).], shall try and offence under this Act.
