Section 18(1) in Telangana Heritage (Protection, Preservation, Conservation and Maintenance) Act, 2017
(1)Subject to the provisions of Section 24 of Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958 (Central Act 24 of 1958), the Director may, after examination of the historic and scientific and archaeological evidences as may be prescribed identify or cause to identify the sites in the State other than the ones protected by the Central Government, for undertaking the excavation operations.
