Section 11(5) in Sardar Patel University Act, 1955
(5)The Vice-Chancellor shall give effect to the decision or orders of the Syndicate regarding the appointment, dismissal, suspension and punishment of the persons in the service of the University or teachers of the University or regarding the recognition or withdrawal of the recognition of any such teacher and shall exercise general control over the affairs of the University. He shall be responsible for the proper administration of the affairs of the University in accordance with this Act, the Statutes and Ordinances.
