Section 85(4) in The Maharashtra Universities Act, 1994
(4)Members elected or nominated shall have a term of five years. [if any vacancy occurs in the office of such member, the vacancy shall be filled within three months and the member so appointed shall hold office for the residual term for which the earlier member would have held the office if the vacancy had not occurred.] [These words were added by Maharashtra 55 of 2000, section 50(b).]
