Section 3(g) in Rules for Delegation of Administrative and Financial Powers, in the Assam Agricultural University, 1982
(g)'Officer' means and officer of the University as specified in Section 17 of Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968, or other persons in the employment of the University designated as Officers by the authority.
