1. Short title and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Uttaranchal (Alteration of Name) Act, 2006.(2)It shall come into force on such [date] [1st January, 2007, vide notification No. GSR 779(E), dated 29th December, 2006] as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
