Section 49(3) in The Chhattisgarh Municipalities Act, 1961
(3)If the outgoing President or Vice President to whom a direction has been issued under subsection (2) does not comply with such direction, he shall be punishable with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to one month or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees or with both.
