Date : 30-10-2019 Heard Mr. F.A. Laskar, learned counsel for the writ petitioner. The petitioner is seeking a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to pay ex-gratia compensation to her on account of the loss suffered due to negligence of the hospital authority.

Issue notice returnable in six weeks.

Mr. P.S. Deka, learned Standing Counsel, Revenue Department, Assam has entered appearance and accepted notice on behalf of the respondent no. 1 whereas Mr. A. Chaliha, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent no.2. Ms. M. Bhattacharjee, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate, Assam, has accepted notice on behalf of the respondent nos. 3, 4 and 5. As such, no formal notice is required to be sent in this case. However, extra copies of the writ petition, in requisite numbers, be furnished to the learned Standing Counsels within three days from today.

List accordingly.

Pendency of the writ petition shall not be a bar for the respondents to redress the grievance of the petitioner, in accordance with law.
