P.C. 1] In compliance of the order dated 13.09.2023, the learned APP has placed on record report forwarded by the Medical Deputy Superintendent, Sasoon Hospital, under the signature of the Associate Professor, Dr. Harish Umrajkar.

The report dated 30.09.2023 record as under :

"Patient is having morbid obesity (BMI 41). He has multiple serious ailments of health. He is being evaluated in the hospital. He is currently advised to undergo revision bariatric surgery. The surgery anticipated is complex and complicated and requires further investigations for medical 1/2 ::: Uploaded on - 03/10/2023 ::: Downloaded on - 04/10/2023 06:43:03 ::: (3)BA-1566-2023.doc fitness. At present, patient is having systemic hypertension and severe vertigo (giddiness). He needs continuous examination and care (preferably by a care taking person) regarding diet, blood pessure measurement in preoperative set up. He needs MRI and MRCP (specialized investigations) which are essential and planned but the euqipped machines are not compatible in our hospital. Patient needs 8-10 weeks of strict preoperative and postoperative followup of similar period for work up. He needs complete workup and surgery as early as possible."

2] On reading the report, it is clear that the patient has to undergo revision bariatric surgery, but it is not clear whether this surgery can be carried out in the Sasoon Hospital, as what the report indicate is, for carrying out MRI and MRCP investigations, the machines are not compatible.

Let the Associate Professor i.e. the signatory of the report, clarify this aspect, apart from clarifying as to whether the surgery can be performed in Sasoon Hospital.
