Section 1 in The M.P. Municipal Corporation Act, 1956
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)This Act may be called the Madhya Pradesh Municipal Corporation Act, 1956.(2)It extends to the whole of [Madhya Pradesh] [Substituted by M.P. Act No. 13 of 1961.].(3)[ It shall apply to the larger urban areas with effect from the date on which they are notified as such under Section 7.] [Inserted by M.P. Act No. 18 of 1997.]
