Section 3J(1) in Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920
(1)For the purpose of election of councillors to a [Third Grade Municipality] [Substituted for the word 'Town Panchayat' by the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities (Amendment) Act, 2004 (Tamil Nadu Act 24 of 2004)], the Inspector shall, after consulting the [Third Grade Municipality] [Substituted for the word 'Town Panchayat' by the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities (Amendment) Act, 2004 (Tamil Nadu Act 24 of 2004)], by notification divide the [transitional area] [Substituted for the word 'Panchayat Town' by the Tamil Nadu District Municipalities (Amendment) Act, 2004 (Tamil Nadu Act 24 of 2004)] into wards and determine the number of members to be elected in accordance with such scale as may be prescribed.
