(1)This Act may be called the Rajasthan Excise Act, 1950.(2)It extends to the whole of [State of Rajasthan] [Substituted by Rajasthan, Act 38 of 1957.] [....] [[Omitted by Rajasthan Act No. 38 of 1957.The whole Act in relation to Liquor has been repealed by Scheduled to Rajasthan Act 17 of 1969.It extends to the Abu area from the date of commencement of the Rajasthan Excise (Amendming and Extending) Ordinance, 1978 e.g. 1.9.1978 by Rajasthan Act 15 of 1978.]](3)It shall come into force on such date, [as the [State Government] [Came into force w.e.f. 1.7.1950 vide Notification F.49(1) S.R/50, dated 20.6.1950, published in Part I of the Rajasthan Gazette 29, dated 1.7.1950.] may by Notification in the [Official Gazette] [Substituted by Rajasthan, Act 38 of 1957.] appoint in that behalf.
