(1)Subject to the control of the Government, the superintendence and control of the Fire Service shall vest in the Director and shall be carried on by him in accordance with the provisions of this Act and of any rules made thereunder.(2)The Government may appoint such officers as they may deem fit to assist the Director in the discharge of his duties.
