Section 503B(1) in Karnataka Municipal Corporations Act, 1976
(1)The Government shall constitute a Metropolitan Planning Committee for the Bangalore Metropolitan Area to prepare a draft development plan for such area as a whole.Explanation. - For the purpose of this section "Bangalore Metropolitan area" means an area specified by the Governor to be a metropolitan area under clause (c) of Article 243P of the Constitution of India.
