CORAM: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE
and
HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE DINESH KUMAR SINGH
ORAL ORDER
(Per: HONOURABLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE)
2 18-11-2019Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the respondents.
Petitioner has prayed for the following relief:-
"For issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus commanding the concerned respondent authorities to provide the infrastructure/personnel at panchayat level for preparing voter lists for graduates' constituencies by adding more and more graduates, as being done in the general elections, so that, more and more eligible persons could participate in the election meant for graduates constituencies, as the eligible graduates are not taking interest due to several impdiments in enrolment in the voter list and there is big gap in the total number of graduates and total voters in graduates' constituencies."
Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the writ- petitioner has already filed a representation (Annexure-4) before the authorities concerned, which is dated 6th of September, 2019, but the said representation has not been disposed of till date.
Let the representation of the petitioner dated 6th of Patna High Court CWJC No.22030 of 2019(2) dt.18-11-2019 3/3 September, 2019 (Annexure-4) be considered and decided by the authorities concerned within a period of two months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of with the direction aforesaid.
