Section 6(2) in The Assam Agricultural University Act, 1968
(2)Subject to the above provisions, the State Government may direct that the University shall reserve in Colleges seats for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes of the State and/or candidates from other States in India.
