Prayer in WP.No.995 of 2012: Petition filed Under Article 226 of the
Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus
directing the 5th respondent not to register any document in the nature of
transfer by way of sale, gift, mortgage, exchange or lease with respect to
the Sellancheri Thaikka Wakf properties situated in S.No.162, New
Survey No.81/2 measuring an extent of 4.48 Acres in Sellencheri Village
as under Section 51 of the Wakf Act and Section 22A of the Registration
Act.
Prayer in WP.No.996 of 2012: Petition filed Under Article 226 of the
Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus
directing the 5th respondent not to register any document in the nature of
transfer by way of sale, gift, mortgage, exchange or lease with respect to
the Sellancheri Thaikka Wakf properties situated in S.No.114/7, 116/2,
116/4 and 61/2 measuring an extent of 17.62 Acres in Sellencheri Village
as under Section 51 of the Wakf Act and Section 22A of the Registration
Act.

When the matters were taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission of this Court to withdraw these Writ Petitions with a liberty to file appropriate application before the competent authority, if any alienation is made in respect of the Wakf https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis 3/6 W.P.Nos.995 & 996 of 2012 properties. An Endorsement to the said effect was also made by the learned counsel for the petitioner in the Petition today.
2. Accordingly, these Writ Petitions stand dismissed as withdrawn with a liberty as sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner. No costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous petitions are closed.
