Section 12(1) in Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975
(1)A registered society may, by special resolution. amend the provisions of its memorandum relating to the objects of the registered society so far as may be required to enable it-(a)to carry on the administration of the registered society more economically or more efficiently ; or(b)to attain its main purpose by new or improved means ; or(c)to amalgamate with any other registered society ; or(d)to divide itself into two or more societies.
