Section 236(2) in The Chandernagore Municipal Corporation Act, 1990
(2)The Chief Executive Officer may, in accordance with such regulations as may be made by the Corporation, refuse to give permission under sub-section (1) if he is of opinion that the establishment, alteration, enlargement or extension of such premises, factory, workshop or work-place would be objectionable by reason of the density of the population in the neighbourhood thereof or would be nuisance to the inhabitants of the neighbourhood.
