Section 56 in The Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council Act, 1988
56. [ Inspection of accounts etc. - Notwithstanding anything contained elsewhere in this Act, the Government may,-] [Section 56 substituted by W.B. Act 3 of 1994.]
(a)if it is of opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, cause an inspection to be made of the accounts of the Council from time to time and may, for the conduct of such inspection, appoint in consultation with the Council such officer or officers as the Government may think fit, and(b)advise the Council on the accounts of the Council.
