Section 160(1) in The Gujarat Provincial Municipal Corporations Act, 1949
(1)Where a person proposes to construct a drain, the Commissioner may, if he considers that the proposed drain is, or is likely to be, needed to form part of a general drainage system which the Corporation has provided, or proposes to provide, require him to construct that the drain in a manner differing, as regards material or size of pipes, depth, fall, direction or outfall, or otherwise, from the manner in which he proposes, or could otherwise be required by the Commissioner, to construct it, and it shall be his duty to comply to comply with the requirement of the Commissioner.
